When we get comfortable with the way things are done on a day-to-day basis, this becomes the norm or becomes a habit and change becomes more difficult. When a new employee enters the organization, they feel safer following the same procedures as their predecessors, rather than introducing new ones.
Employees do not like manual, monotonous, repetitive, and error-prone work. More importantly, these repetitive activities result in loss of productivity, loss of employee morale, increased healthcare costs, compliance costs, and billing and collection times that are costly to the business.
